Nice day :D

Hey!

Today is a very fun, interesting and memorable day.

The Islamic New Year Day was not discovered until Asmah gave me $10 and said "Happy New Year" to me. I supposed that the gift should be the similarly "Li` xi`" in our Lunar New Year. The breakfast was her treat to everyone and she must have been very happy to be around with such friendly people in New Year day.

Ms Poh drove us to a staff's house, who had an operation on her knee, to have fun in a celebration. It was an unexpected surprise when I knew that she was born a Chinese but was adopted by an Indian family. She is bloody Chinese background but wears Indian costumes and eats indian food. The house is decorated in a luxury western style but still there lies a praying corner for the Islamic practitioners of the family. The Indian kid, the child of the family, was naughty around with other visitors, who are Chinese, Malay and Vietnamese (me!). We teased him and he was ready to kiss everyone around. The skin colors are different and visible, but we played, ate and talked as we are color-blind. I took this as a racial harmony.

Mr Seah is a knowledgeable man. He knows lots of thing about Vietnam through books at NUS High school. It's a great idea to sit down with a wisdom local to find out more about "local". haha.

Ms Poh was so nice to send each of us home. We chit chat with each other from beggar to Lamborghini (I have no idea about the later one). I caught a sentence of her that strikes my thought after the party. At last, it's true that each mankind has his own identity; and this makes up the racism in him to an certain extent. Each of us is not free of that.

This is not my home, but the little warmth ties me with each of these local people together in this country. I love today so much.
